I estimate that there are currently around 900 scale models of vehicles in the collection of my wife and I. Not shown in the picture below are two additional small boxes. I estimate an average of 48 vehicles in each small box, so that gives around 900 vehicles. Most are Hot Wheels and most are “on the card.”

Can you easily find a car you want, is there a system to your boxes? I estimate my own collection to be around 1500 cars but most are loose and on my shelves. I want to reduce that number to around 500 but I am still getting more. Mine comprise around 500 Hot Wheels, 500 Matchbox and 500 other brands. I really want to focus on the old Matchbox around the transition to Superfast (1968 to 1972).
Some are boxes of my favorites, such as Batmobiles, Pontiac Firebirds, Nissan Skylines. I mostly collect new models, as old ones are hard to find here.
